About Me...

Hello — I am Vicky, a qualified therapist offering compassionate, evidence-based support to adults, children, and young people. I work with individuals who are feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or emotionally exhausted, and who want a supportive space to understand themselves better and move forward with greater clarity and confidence.

I hold an Honours Degree in Psychology, a Postgraduate Certificate in Counselling Children, Young People and Families, and I am a qualified Cognitive Behavioural Therapist (CBT). My work is grounded in CBT principles, while always being tailored to the individual needs, experiences, and goals of each client.

I support adults with difficulties such as anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, relationship challenges, stress, and emotional burnout. Sessions with adults are collaborative and structured, helping you understand patterns in your thoughts and emotions while developing practical tools to support lasting change.

When working with children and young people, I adapt my approach to be age-appropriate, gentle, and engaging. I focus on helping young clients feel safe, understood, and supported, often using creative and relational methods alongside CBT to help them express themselves and build emotional skills. Where appropriate, I also work collaboratively with parents or carers.

At the heart of my work is the therapeutic relationship. I aim to offer a space that feels calm, supportive, and non-judgemental — somewhere you can speak openly without fear of being “too much” or saying the wrong thing.

My style is:

  • Compassionate and empathic
  • Collaborative rather than directive
  • Structured but flexible
  • Focused on understanding, not fixing

In sessions, you can expect us to work at your pace, explore what feels most important to you, and gently build insight and coping strategies that feel realistic and achievable in your everyday life.

I value and respect individual differences and am committed to creating an inclusive and affirming therapeutic space. I recognise the importance of honouring each person’s unique experiences, background, culture, and identity, and I approach my work with sensitivity, openness, and respect.

As a lifelong learner, I regularly engage in continuing professional development to ensure my practice remains ethical, evidence-based, and responsive to current research. This allows me to offer support that is both clinically sound and genuinely human.

I feel privileged to support individuals and families on their therapeutic journeys. If you’re considering therapy — whether for yourself or your child — I understand that taking the first step can feel daunting.

If you would like to explore whether working together feels right, you’re very welcome to get in touch to arrange a consultation. We can talk about what’s been bringing you to therapy and what you’re hoping for, with no pressure or obligation.

Resilence:

The capacity to move forward, despite challenges and barriers.
